On November 15, the downhole real - time safety monitoring system independently developed by the Engineering Technology Research Institute achieved another breakthrough in the field test at Well BZ3 - 2X in the Tarim Oilfield. It realized remote data transmission on - site and remote consultation for drilling risks for the first time.


In 2019, aiming at the problems of limited technical strength in field tests and low accuracy of risk prediction, the project team of the downhole real - time safety monitoring system in the Engineering Institute enabled the effective operation of remote decision - making transmission software by integrating a scientific research management decision - making system.


It successfully transmitted engineering mechanics parameters such as downhole weight on bit, bending moment, and torque measured while drilling, as well as surface drilling parameters, to the software background in real - time. This ensured the synchronization of on - site drilling data collection, risk analysis, and consultation by technical experts in the rear for the downhole real - time safety monitoring system. It also solved the problem of inconsistent software interfaces for downhole decoding and surface data collection, and achieved the integration of drilling monitoring, remote guidance, and post - drilling analysis.


The realization of the remote decision - making and analysis function of the downhole real - time safety monitoring system has changed the previous single - well, single - machine, and single - soldier operation mode. It has promoted the system's upgraded ability to comprehensively use downhole data and surface drilling parameters for predicting drilling risks such as sticking, collapse, leakage, and blowout, as well as parameter optimization.
